Artists Against Fracking!
What do Lady Gaga, David Byrne, Beck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Sean Lennon, The Beastie Boys, The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Yoko Ono and more than a hundred other major musicians and celebrities have in common? They’re all against fracking and they’re calling on Governor Cuomo to ban it in New York.
Last night Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono launched Artists Against Fracking on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon! It’s a powerful initiative of musicians, actors, and other celebrities to build awareness of and activate people to stop fracking, utilizing their broad reach of tens of millions of followers on social media.
Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono explain Artists Against Fracking:
Then they sang “Don’t Frack My Mother” with Jimmy Fallon!
Frack Action is proud to have helped launch the initiative, and we extend our thanks to Sean and Yoko for a nice shout out on Jimmy Fallon. We are able to do this important work because of supporters like you. Would you consider making a donation to Frack Action today? Click here to donate.
Celebrities’ voices tend to travel farther than most, and we hope that Governor Cuomo is listening. For years we’ve made a decisive case based on the science and facts why fracking must be banned. Now these musicians and actors are helping to make that case heard by more of the general public as well as our elected officials.
